p10000391Happy Valentines Day was right!  Bliss Bake Shop had a fantastic grand opening weekend and we want to extend a huge thanks to everyone for their support.  With six bakers in our kitchen and 14 people on staff, we still managed to sell out 3 times opening day. We couldn’t have done it without the friends and family support that day to keep us on track. One week has now passed, and the success continues.

Many people have come in to test the and are finding them to be a great replacement over the Nestle Toll House cookies previously there.  Many kids were sad to see Nestle go, so its been great to see them happy with the new . The pink sugar cookie is most popular, so I have decided to honor this cookie after my yellow lab Lilly, who passed away opening weekend unexpectedly.  So please stop in and enjoy the “Sugar Lilly Cookie” to help continue celebrating her life.  She was my very best friend, and the very best dog an owner could have ever asked for.

Great People And Great Businesses

I am a firm believer in networking, supporting people you believe in, and remaining honest with each person you cross paths with.  I took these beliefs and applied them to all of my business decisions.  I have met some remarkable talented people along the way. I have been most impressed with the women I have met, and starting their own businesses in the past year even during this sour economy.  That takes alot of courage.

On the left side of my home page, you will see a website link list of local companies owned by women who sell fantastic product and services. Be sure to check them out, and support them if you can.  I am really looking forward to opening more endeavors in 2009.

Wildflour Cookies Makes the News!

Oatmeal is Headline News

Wildflour’s make the news at Willamette Week. Wildflour Cookie Company (5400 NE 30th Ave. #103, 502-8738) A newcomer to the game, this sly contender is made even more extraordinary than it already is due to its elusiveness. Wildflour, together with Truffle Handcrafted Chocolates, recently began retail hours on Fridays and Saturdays, but is otherwise available by special order only at portlandtruffle.com. The modest-sized cookie is cakey, but this somehow does not sacrifice moistness and flavor. Quite the contrary: A thin, crisp coating gives way to a soft center that fills your mouth with buttery sweetness. Even the raisins seem better than average. No nuts.
